Fashions on the Field

A country race meet is not complete without a Fashions on the Field event! We are pleased the 2024 Narrabri Races Fashions on the Field event will take place with thanks to our generous local businesses partnering with us.

Fashions on the Field allow racegoers the opportunity to showcase their elegance and style. In keeping with this tradition, we have four categories that will feature at the 2024 Narrabri Races.

Contemporary Lady

Modern style and originality
Race day and weather appropriate
Colour coordination of outfit and accessories
Essentials - headwear and handbag

Classic Lady

Timeless and elegant
Race day and weather appropriate
Colour coordination of outfit and accessories
Essentials - closed in shoes, headwear and handbag

Best Dressed Couple

Race day and weather appropriate
Colour coordination of outfit and accessories
Couples outfits should complement each other
Essentials - headwear (both entrants) and handbag

Best Dressed Gentleman

Race day and weather appropriate
Colour coordination of outfit & accessories
Essentials - hat, coat, and tie

All finalists will be chosen based on whether they meet the criteria for their nominated category set out above. Participants acknowledge that they understand and agree to abide by the criteria in order to enter the competition.

Terms and Conditions

Entry into the Narrabri Jockey Club FOTF competition means full acceptance of the Terms and Conditions outlined below:

Finalists must be aged 18 years or over on the day of the races.
Proof of age must be presented at the time of registration if requested.
Finalists may not enter the competition on behalf of a third party.
All prizes awarded to the winner must remain the property of the winner and are not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
All prizes must be taken as specified.
The Promoter will select the judging panel. Finalists will be selected by the judges on the day and the judges' decision is final.
Winners will be notified directly after judging and will be presented with their prize package.
All entries may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes unless noted to the contrary by the contestants lodged in writing.
Contestants agree that their image may be used by the Narrabri Jockey Club and sponsors for future marketing purposes.
There will be 4 categories for this competition including Women's, Men's, Duo.
There will be 1 winner for each category.
